Board Nominations
Nominations are being accepted for several board positions. These director positions are for two-year terms beginning January 2010. New board members need to be seated by January in order for the Board to then vote for the officer positions.
1) Prospective nominees must complete the Board Nomination Form and submit it along with a resume to info@bbrescue.org.
2) Nominations will be reviewed by the Board and potential candidates will be contacted for an interview.
3) Nominations close on Sunday, December 20th.
Examples of General Board Responsibilities
1) Work with other Board members in ensuring that the goals and intent of BBR’s Mission Statement is satisfied.
2) Assist the Board in reaching mutually acceptable decisions that are in the best interest of the BBR dogs as well as Basset Buddies Rescue as a whole.
3) Act as Board liaison for a BBR Coordinator
a. Actively support and assist them in understanding and meeting their responsibilities.
b. Handle their coordinator’s duties when the coordinator is unable to.
c. Develop and/or assist in developing processes where needed.
d. Make every attempt to attend the largest fund raiser of the year, BassetFest.
