Hi I’m Jack!
I just came to BBR from animal control. My foster family is already calling me lover boy. I don’t just wag my tail I wag my whole body! I don’t look like your typical basset. My microchip registration said I am part basset and part lab. Although I had a microchip nobody came to get me so BBR came to my rescue and now I am in a foster home. I am a smart boy, kennel trained, house trained and I know a few commands. I love all people and I love to play.
Here is a video taken my first day out of the shelter. I was so good so feel the grass beneath my feet again.

Hi I’m Amelia. I am just a baby but I found myself without a home. Fortunately a lady from BBR rescued me and now I have a great foster home. I am a friendly, cuddy little girl and I like to play with other dogs. I do have those super sharp puppy teeth so I might be a little too much for young children. Foster mom says I am doing great with my housetraining! One of my parents was a basset and one of my parents was another kind of dog. Maybe a blue heeler? All I know is that I am as cute as can be, if I do say so myself.

Bufford is a sweet basset mix who is being fostered by a small rescue in the Twin Cities area in Minnesota. He is a youthful senior who is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs. He loves to play with toys. He is sensitive about having his collar pulled so should not be placed in a family with young children.

Hi I’m Lenny and I’m built for comfort not for speed. Well actually, I’ve been advised to lose a few pounds so I will be working on that. I’m a handsome red and white guy. My family loved me but I did not get along with a visiting grandchild so they thought I’d do better without young children around. I am fine with teenagers and older and I’m even a good boy at the vet. I like people a lot. I have lived with another basset hound but I do have a tendency to be bossy with dogs. I wouldn’t mind being the only dog. I don’t mind cats. I’m very good about letting you know when I need to go outside.

Hi! My new name is Luke. I got lost and ended up in a small shelter. I wasn’t feeling too well so I was really happy when a lady from Basset Buddies came and took me home. The first thing she did was give me a bath, I guess I got pretty dirty being lost and then ending up at a shelter. Not sure I liked that but I felt so much better when it was all done. I got a really bad cold at the shelter but I am getting medicine and feeling better every day. My foster mom named me Luke but then she tried calling me Fred and I remembered that name! I think my old people used to call me Fred. Foster mom says I am easy going and snuggly and a sweet guy. I like the basset girls at my house and the people too.
