Hi I’m Dudley!  Sadly, my owner passed away and left me & my buddies – another dog, 4 cats and a parrot.  I am doing well in my foster home & I don’t ask for anything.  I am  a well mannered boy – no accidents whatsoever, and not a peep out of me on my first night, not even during some passing thunderstorms.  Being 13 years old, I want nothing more than a good meal and loving pets on occasion.  I am a bit hard of hearing.  I can do stairs just fine and enjoy spending time in the backyard taking in all the new smells.

Hi!  I’m Dewey.  My foster mom likes to call me Cletus though and I like both names.  A nice highway patrol officer found me wandering near a busy highway in southern MN and brought me to a shelter.  I was hurt and the shelter could tell I needed some special vet care so they called BBR.  At first they thought I might have been hit by a car but the vet thinks I had bite marks on me.  I just know that it hurt a lot and so did my ears and my mouth.  It turns out I have bad ear infections and some very bad teeth.  The nice vets are giving me antibiotics and pain meds and they say they will fix me up in a few days once I am a little stronger.  My toenails have been cut so now it is easy to walk again too. All I know is I am happier than I have been in a long, long time.  I have a safe and warm place to stay, good food and nice people who speak gently to me and give me lots of love.  I love them back in return.  I get along with the other dogs where I am staying.  My foster mom said I can stay here as long as I want but she said that BBR would look for a forever home for me too.

Bobbi Sue #1884

Female
Age:7-9 years old (est)
Weight:50 lbs
Being fostered in Minnesota

Bobbi Sue is a very special girl who was rescued from a bad situation by a good-hearted community member. BBR was contacted to help. Bobbi Sue was taken immediately to the vet and had surgery right away.  She had an infected mass removed from her shoulder that needed 25 staples and 2 drains placed in the incision.  She had 4 teeth pulled.  Her mouth was so very badly infected that quite a few teeth were already gone.  She also had infections in both ears.  She went to an emergency foster home and then to her current foster home where she is continuing her recovery.  All along this journey everyone has remarked on what a sweet girl she is.  Although she must have been in terrible pain she never growled or pulled away.  She just wagged her tail and tried to snuggle up.  Bobbi Sue seems to love everyone and rides well in the car.  BBR volunteer Lora has even made her a special t-shirt to help cover her healing incision.
