Henry #2248 Adopted 3/28/15!

MaleHenry2248c
Age:  almost 6 yrs (D.O.B. 7/30/09)

Weight: 38 lbs.

Hi, my name is Henry! I’m a nice guy who has a couple of homes so far in my life, I guess that is why I can be nervous when I am left home alone.  I loved my most recent family a lot and they loved me too. However, when they’d leave me alone I’d get very nervous and have accidents and the landlord didn’t like that.  So they called BBR to help me find just the right home for me.  In my foster home there are other dogs around and I don’t get so nervous when the people leave.  I really do like having other dogs around to play with and keep me company.  I like car rides and I know a few commands, like “sit”.  I am housetrained- as long as I don’t get left alone.  Please do not put me in a crate.  My former family tried that and I got so afraid, I panicked.  I tried so hard to get out that the crate collapsed and I was injured.  I even had to have stitches!

Here’s a note from my foster mom: Henry is so loving and friendly. He loves children. He has no issue with cats. He loves being on couches, beds, or by windows so he can watch the outdoors. He pulls on a leash, but he could be fine with more practice and training.  And he definitely needs a fenced in yard since he has a history of getting out and going for unsupervised runs.

Being fostered in Minnesota.

Greetings, my name is Tucker! I’m a gentle, easy going basset guy looking for a new home.  Sadly my previous caregiver became ill and could no longer care for me.  I miss her, but I know I am in good hands with BBR.  I get along fine with just about everyone; other dogs, kids and even cats.  I do enjoy a good nap on the couch as you can see.

Lots of Love We love you buddy!! Jay, Judy, Max and Lulu

We love you buddy!! Jay, Judy, Max and Lulu

Note: Bailey is back with BBR due to a change in circumstances of his adopter.  He is still the sweet, easy going basset boy he has always been. He loves a good belly run, a good snack, a nice walk and a good place to take a nap.

Hi there! I’m Bailey. I’m a big, strong, fun-loving, care-free, social, 10-year-old basset boy! I get along well with the other dogs at my foster home. I am smart, adjust quickly to routines, and just want to please my people. If you’re willing to rub my belly, scratch my chin, and/or snuggle, we’ll get along just fine! Here’s what you should know about me:

Alias: “Cowboy” (You’ll understand when you see me run!) My foster mom also calls me her “Love Bug.”

Favorite Snack: Bread  — I can hear a bread bag opening from anywhere in the house!

Favorite Toy: I carry my stuffed duck with me when I am excited! I’d be lost without it…

Favorite Thing to Do: Hang out with people (so I’d do best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day). A canine friend would be super, too!

Favorite Time of the Day: Breakfast, snack and dinner

Best Bad Habit: I bark “Hello” to everyone I meet!

Funniest Thing I Do: I can fold a dog mat or blanket into a pillow.

I’ve been waiting for my forever home! Could it be with you?

Pete #2246 ATB 9/10/15

MalePete2246d
Age: 12 yrs. (DOB: 2003)
Weight: 63 lbs
Being fostered in Minnesota.

BBR is very sad to announce that Pete lost his battle with lung cancer.  Although he has only been with BBR a few months, he was very much loved and his foster mom is so sad to lose him. He was the sweetest boy, a perfect gentleman- except for the time he stole the cantaloupe off the counter and ate almost the entire thing! Pete we love you and you will always be in our hearts.

BBR got an email from a shelter where Pete had been left. Abandoned at 12 yrs old, even worse, classified as NP – “not place-able” because of his age and health.  Sadly that means he would be put to sleep if a rescue did not come and get him quickly.  They even called him “somewhat obnoxious and aloof”.  Thankfully, a BBR  volunteer picked him up the next day, and the very next day he was at the vet getting the treatment he very much needed. Poor guy had a large growth hanging down from his eyelid rubbing directly on his eye. He promptly had surgery to remove the growth and got his teeth cleaned at the same time. Pete is happily settling in at his foster home and is very much the gentleman. He certainly is not aloof and loves his neck scratches and belly rubs. He is not obnoxious either, well not more than any other basset who likes to speak their mind.  Pete is quite spry for a senior basset, enjoys his walks and enjoys meeting other dogs.  He has no trouble with stairs or jumping on the couch :)  Pete is accepting applications for a great forever home where he can get all the love a sweet, smooshy boy like him deserves.

Tank #2242 Adopted 9-19-15!

MaleTank2242
Age: months (DOB: 8/7/2014)
Weight: 55 lbs
Being fostered in Minnesota.

Hi, my name is Tank!  The name doesn’t fit me that well though because I am very shy.  When I first came to BBR, I was so scared of everyone.  My foster family has been very patient with me. My foster dog brothers have also helped show me I don’t need to be so scared.  I am a young guy with lots of learning to do.  I need a patient family that will give me time to adjust.  A nice, calm 4-legged sibling to help me learn the ropes is required.  Since I am so shy, an adult only family is preferred.  Children might scare me.  I am getting braver every day and I am a happy boy!

To find out more about me, please fill out the Adoption Application so someone on the adoption team can contact you and let you know more about me!

Look who just graduated from basic obedience class. Congratulations Tank!
