Madie (pronounced Maddie) is 12 years old but she acts younger. She loves to wander in the yard sniffing and investigating all the new smells as the snow disappears. Sunbathing is her second favorite activity. She is somewhat of a “talker” and will sit at her foster mom’s feet telling her all about her day or that it is time to eat. Madie has learned to get along with the other dogs and will even share her cushion with a pushy dachshund. She must have been taught to not get on furniture because unlike every other basset her foster mom has met she stays off the furniture unless you put her on it. Then she is content to spend the evening by your side.
Madie came to BBR because she did not enjoy the company of a toddler in the house. She would like her forever home to be toddler free and mostly on one level.

Hi, I’m Benson! I had been living outside, so having a warm bed and being dry is just the best thing these days! My foster family describes me as a “mushpot of love”, I think that means they like me! I am adjusting to being a house dog so I need some patience. I get along with other dogs, but have not been exposed to cats or children.

Hi, I’m Buddy and believe it or not I am originally from Tennessee! My previous family loved me very much but had some health problems and could no longer care for me. I was given a ride up to Minnesota to find a home but that place did not work out so BBR was called to come and get me. I may have a little grey on my muzzle but I move like a young stud if I do say so myself. I have plenty of spring in my step and I am friendly guy with classic basset good looks. My foster family is just getting to know me so stay tuned for more news about me!
