It’s a common misconception that dogs in rescue are those who have something wrong with them. But, just like humans, bad things can happen to bassets through no fault of their own. Often a dog may be relinquished because an owner can no longer take care of their pet due to death, divorce, or another major life change. We work hard to make sure that your basset is healthy and will be a great forever match with your family!
Basset Buddies Rescue has on average 70 Basset Hounds waiting in foster homes for their forever home. If you are considering a basset for your family, please fill out our Adoption Application. Filling out the application does NOT commit you to adopting from us but it WILL open the door for you to:
