Whitefish Bay kicks off the Holiday season with the annual Whitefish Bay Holiday Stroll on Friday, November 25th, 2011 on Silver Spring Drive from 5-9pm. Contact Michelle with questions.
BBR’s line up # is 11. Please arrive by 5:30pm at the intersection of Kent and Silver Spring, parade begins at 6pm. If you have a hard time finding BBR that night, call Michelle 414-378-0133.
PLEASE NOTE: The streets are blocked off in the area before the parade. Parking is available in the lot of Dominican High School.
Additional Parade information:
The parade lineup is 5:30pm on Kent Boulevard, south of Silver Spring Drive. Simply find your numbered orange cone and you are number 11. Cones will be placed on both sides of the street – vehicles need to face NORTHBOUND even if your cone is in the southbound lane. Please have someone in your group check in with me.
The parade starts at 6pm and proceeds eastbound on Silver Spring Drive. Note that in the center of the parade (at Berkeley), the street narrows with the median… please use the south side of the street (the normal eastbound traffic lane). Parades often bunch up here a bit, so I will ask you at the start to space the parade units to minimize the bunching at that location. And please be super careful here and on the entire route. The police request that candy be handed out when possible instead of tossed.
The parade basically ends at Marlborough; we ask you to turn right after Winkie’s on Marlborough. Walkers should continue south on the sidewalk and vehicles should continue south for one block and can return westbound on Birch.
