Reason for relinquishment:
Snoopy is 10 years old and was given up because the couple she was with all of her life have retired. Their new lifestyle did not allow time for Snoopy. and they have asked BBR to help find her the perfect home.
Foster Home Evaluation:
She is a wonderful dog. She is housetrained and does not get up on the furniture. She loves to go for walks. She is quite a talker. When I come home from work she lets me know how much she missed me. Men are strange creatures to her and she does bark at them for a few times until she gets to know them. She is not mean, she just howls a little to let me know a man has come into the house. She likes to have me play with her, also. She wants me to chase her around the table for a few minutes and then she flips herself over for a belly rub. She lets me clean her ears, altho she doesn’t like it. She is a velcro hound and likes to be where I am. She is a little slow going up the stairs to my bedroom because she is an older lady but when I call bedtime hounds to everyone she follows the herd upstairs. She sleeps on a
big pillow on the floor on the side of the my bed. She won’t play with any of my other dogs. I have 4 besides her, but she is tolerant of them and I think she likes being around them. She howls at the cat. She doesn’t hurt the cat or chase him, just howls. Because of her age no children under twelve, please. I think she would do wonderful with another older couple and I think if there was another older hound like
herself in the house she would like that too. She likes to eat but does not counter cruise. She likes her treats, too. She is on a skin sensitive dog food for allergies. She is a wonderful hound who would make someone a wonderful pet.
